closeted movie critic.

Has anyone in the history of forever ever been able to "keep up" with a blog that they have created? I would love for this to be a venture of mine, as I have proven unsuccessful over the past eight years. Xanga and I had a pretty decent relationship; I began blogging at age 17-- and kept it on until I stopped being best friends with my friends that did actually blog at 20. So, for the past 5 years, I have been off of the blogging grid. And to be perfectly honest, none of my ramblings will be anything political-- my ramblings will most likely focus on things that are pretty general (why I get annoyed with bus drivers' in Chicago every morning), spiritual (why I love God and what I see Him doing), and personal (why I am feeling the way I am feeling). And, I will spill every bit of gossip I have EVER heard on this blog. ;)

Today, I am going to ramble on this one subject: Twilight. As I watch the Ellen show when baby Claire takes her nap, I seriously can't help but crack up at the snippets that they show from the movie. Why IN THE WORLD are people so attracted to these movies? I can legitimately ask that question, as I did see the first movie when I was 21. I don't know how I got there or why I agreed to see it, but I went with one of my best friends on the night after it opened. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS. The only good things that came from me seeing that movie were these two things: getting to see a movie with Dawnna, and laughing at all of the book-crazed teenage girls go INSANE during the entire movie. It was a crappy movie, with crappy actors, and a crappy story line. Not that I'm biased or anything.

At long last, the final part of the series will be coming to theaters in just a few short days. I just can't understand why ANYONE would enjoy this movie enough to alter their lives around when it is being released. Or any of them for that matter. They are humorous, I will say that at most. But it's just the obsession that I have seen develop over the books and the characters in those books. And the actors that are in these movies--- BAHA. Ha. Haha. They have little to no acting experience, they got a lucky break, and now they are loaded. What a life. :)

Luckily, I am off work tomorrow and don't have to see Robert Pattinson, or that other guy.

I promise, this was not meant to be offensive. Just a sigh of relief coming from a nanny that watches Ellen every afternoon at 3:00pm. And after all of the crap people were posting about Obama and Romney on Facebook... this should be like a cake-walk. :)
